Why shop at a Farmer's Market?

There are so many reasons! Fresh food grown locally and bought at a local farmers market tastes better and is more nutritious. Unusual and locally adapted varieties are often available. The Farmer's Market supports the local economy with dollars going directly to the producer of the food.

What will I find at the market?

Fresh vegetables, eggs, honey, soap, flowers, and a wide variety of hand made crafts and so much more! Vegetables change and vary through the season. Everything is locally grown or produced. Good company and a friendly chat with your neighbors can also be found at the market!

Do you take credit cards?

No. No credit cards, no debit cards. Please bring cash in small denominations. Some vendors may accept personal checks for higher dollar items.

What should I bring?

Your own shopping bag with handles.
Cash in small bills.
Wear sensible shoes.
This week’s neighborhood news or a story to share.
Water.
Sunscreen.
A friend.
Your sense of adventure.

Where can I park?

Some parking spaces will be available in the market lot end running along Hwy 61. More parking is available across the street all around the food bank building. There is plenty of parking and no long walks.

Can I bring my dog?

Yes! Well behaved dogs on leashes are welcome to visit the market with you. However, the Market organizers reserve the right to request that a disruptive dog leave the market site immediately.

Can I come sell just one day to try it out?

Yes! You can show up at the market site between 7:00 and 7:45 a.m. and request to be a vendor for the day. If you've never vended at the Concho Farmer's Market before then you qualify for the one-time trial vendor rate of only $5. The Market Manager will have you fill out a brief application form and will collect $5 from you to pay for your market booth. An available booth slot that best meets your needs will be found. The market opens and you should be set up to sell by 8:00 a.m. We reserve the right to turn away vendors due to lack of space or for inappropriate product based on the market guidelines. Do vendors charge sales tax?

Vendors are required to affirm to the market that they comply with state and local laws which may include collecting and paying sales tax.
